OLD NEWS
COURT DATE: August 13, 2010 at 1pm

Location:
24405 Amador Street, Hayward, Ca 94544
3rd FLOOR Room  517

Lawrence was taken into custody in Hayward on May 17, 2010 and will have a sentencing date on August 13, 2010 (according to the judge). The Judge came to a final decision on all counts as far as restitution goes and is allowing Lawrence Babb to come up with the money he owes while in jail. Lawrence claims he can come up with the money with the help of his father. Unfortunately, if Lawrence Babb comes up with this money he will be a free man; scary thought considering the fact that Babb in the streets means people getting scammed. Although he was scamming people while he was locked up too...frustrating huh?!? Well, if Babb does not come up with the money by the 30th he is looking at 4 years state prison.

If you have been defrauded, are a victim in this case or know someone that is, please come on Friday July 30, 2010. You may have an opportunity to speak, and put an end to all of this. It is very important to show support in any way you can. Thank you

OLD NEWS:
Mr. Babb was releases at 850 Bryant in San Francisco after being locked up in Santa Rita Jail for 3 months and in San Francisco for 1 month. January 14, 2010 he was released from SF because His Defense Attorney found a loophole where the judge didn't clearly state on the record that Babb's probation was revoked, yet the court docket said it was revoked. Judge Mc Carthy releases him until the District Attorney can prove that his SF probation was up in the beginning of September. Also, the judge decided it would be best to let him go so he can come up with the money to pay the 7 victims in Alameda County who have been awarded restitution...what he doesn't seem to understand is that Mr. Babb scams people for a living and letting him out of jail will only add more

victims to the list. As a result, Mr. Babb has been out of jail since January 15, 2010 and in the streets doing whatever it is he does...
April 2, 2010 Mr. Babb is suppose to show up to court in San Francisco at 850Bryant Street and it would be in all the victims best interest to show up and get involved.
April 16, 2010 is another court date for Mr. Babb and this one is VERY IMPORTANT. The 7 Alameda victims who were pro -active and fought for justice were awarded restitution, but if Babb doesn't find a way to pay he will do time in jail, according to the judge.
Court will be at 9am at
24405 Amador Street, Hayward, Ca 94544.

It is VERY Important if you have been defrauded/scammed by Lawrence Babb (especially if you are a recent victim) to FILE A POLICE REPORT IMMEDIATELY. Babb has a criminal record that goes back 20+ years  and we NEED to put an end to this.

There are over 20 police reports against Lawrence Babb, over 100 victims, over a million dollars owed to these victims.

LAWRENCE BABB (aka Larry Babb, aka Kenneth Babb, aka Lawrence Bass, aka Larry Bass, aka Lawrence Gydon)

BEWARE OF ALL SCAMS

Lawrence Babb has been driving expensive cars in others people's names and using these cars to appear to be a legitimate business man in order to gain the trust of others. After gaining the trust of people, he cons them into adding him on their credit cards as a secondary user for "business related" purchases which he promises to reimburse. Instead, he runs up their credit card balances on everything from personal grooming items to fast food. He also has conned people into investing in his "businesses". People have "invested" thousands of dollars with him never to see their money, or hear from him again. DO NOT FALL FOR HIS LIES!!!

So far, we have found 50 individuals who have been victims of his scams for an amount totaling over $500,000.

In 2003, Lawrence Babb was arrested and convicted of insurance fraud, money laundering and conspiracy, (http://www.insurancejournal.com/magazines/west/2003/05/05/fraud) and now he has changed his "game" from Real Estate Investments and Automotive Dealings to Entertainment. We've heard that now he is now telling people that he's an "agent to the stars" in Los Angeles. Even his personal details are lies. BEWARE of this man. Contact us if you know of anyone who has been scammed by Lawrence Babb or if you know anyone who might be in the process of being scammed. We can help you file charges against him, setup a court date to win a civil judgment for the money he owes you and put you in touch with our network of individuals who are committed to seeing this man convicted and sentenced to jail for his crimes.
